Job Description
PACS Applications Specialist
Job Requirements
• Evaluate radiology department workflow and provide recommendations
on changes related to PACS implementation and maximize efficiency
of systems in a clinical environment.
• Advise radiology departments in change management endeavors related
to PACS implementation.
• Develop and provide formal training sessions on site to the end
users.
• Maintain training documentation including course completion certificates
and summary reports.
• Develop and train Radiologists and Clinicians on how to use the
full suite Kodak Direct View PACS solutions focusing
on soft copy reading stations.
• Assist Radiologists and PACS administrators with system &
user configurations to optimize system output.
• As needed, provide support to the Customer Care team when troubleshooting
application/system type issues.
• Provide ongoing product feedback to R&D, product development
and management teams.
• Work directly with Technical Writers to produce training materials.
• Travel is required throughout North America (up to 70%).
Education/Certification
• Radiology Technologist’s Certification.
• Bachelor's degree and/or diploma in Health Sciences, Information
Technology, or Education.
Experience
• A working knowledge administering a PACS system and/or
Radiology Information (RIS) system.
• A minimum of (5) years or more of medical electronic imaging experience
including CT, MR, US, NM and standard X-Ray.
Additional experience in both Mammo and Othro preferred.
• At least 6 months experience in training or educating others individually
and in groups, or related experience.
• Experience working in a medical environment where the candidate
is exposed to clinical workflow and have gained
an understanding of clinical terminology and processes.
• Strong presentation/demonstration/teaching skills.
